After two years of being the chief executive of Cebu City, Mayor Michael Rama successfully delivered in Cebuano his 2nd State of the City Address (SOCA) last July 2, 2012 at the Plaza Sugbu Cebu City Hall with thousands of his supporters in attendance.
It took him about 1 hour, and 21 minutes to present before an estimated crowd of more than ten thousand Cebuanos, the accomplishments of the “people’s” administration.
“Kuyugi ako sa pagtul-id sa hiwi, sa pagnindot sa bati, sa paglimpyo sa hugaw, sa pagwagtang sa baho,ug sa paghan-ay sa gubot, Together we can make things happen for we are stronger when we are all connected,” Mayor Rama said in his introduction.
The Mayor reiterated that all his actions and plans are geared towards his vision for the city to becoming a sustainable community that will allow its constituents help manage the resources of a growing city, guarantees healthier well-being, provides economic productivity, with active, dynamic and performing people and with a city hall at your doorstep.
“From the start, we sought public office not for personal glory, rather, we subscribed to the idea that being of service to our city and its people were something bigger than ourselves.
