CCMC writes City on P9.5M bill

- Cebu City Hall failed to pay its own hospital for the services the latter rendered for the past six months to the beneficiaries of the City’s medical program.
- CCMC Chief Dr. Eduardo Sedoripa recently wrote Mayor Michael Rama about the P9.5M in hospital bills of the beneficiaries of CHAMP.
- Sedoripa said CCMC wants to collect the amount which covers the hospital services it rendered from January to June this year.

City to remove houses under Tagunol bridge

- The Cebu City Government will be clearing 31 illegal shanties situated under the Tagonol Bridge in Brgy. Basak Pardo today.
- Brgy. Capt. Dave Tumulak yesterday said the illegal structures were blamed by his constituents for the flood that hit six sitios in his village last July 21.
- The flood submerged Sitios Fatima, Katangkongan I, Katangkongan II, Kabulakan, Axoville and Lower Kauswagan with 1,000 affected families.

- Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama is not in favor of the proposed measure that will upgrade the administrative fine of CO 1514 or the Anti-Jaywalking Ordinance.
- The proposed amendatory ordinance will raise the penalty to P1T from P500 if the violator chooses to resolve the case in court.
- Councilor Richard Osmeña, who introduced the measure, also wants the compromise penalty raised from P50 to P200.
4 brgy workers tested positive of shabu use

- Four barangay workers in Apas and Bacayan were found positive of using shabu during a surprise drug test conducted by COSAP and the PNP Crime Laboratory.
- Two of those tested positive were clean and green workers from the two barangays, a subpoena server of Bacayan and an auxiliary member of the task force in Apas.
- COSAP chief Joey Herrera said the surprise drug test in Bacayan was conducted Sunday while yesterday afternoon in Apas.
