CEBU CITY, Philippines - Various products made by inmates from the different jails throughout Central Visayas Region are available for sale in the lobby of Cebu City Hall from November 20-24, 2017.

Native Christmas trees of different sizes made from recyclable materials, bags, furniture, handicrafts and decorations are among the products crafted by the inmates as their livelihood program.

In an interview with the Cebu City Public Information Office, Jail Officer 2 Jeramay Retardo-Campaner, who is also the Regional Inmates Welfare Development Division Admin Staff, she enthuses that the activity is held annually in line with the National Correctional Consciousness Week celebration.

She pointed out that the proceeds of the activity will be utilized for the inmates such as schools supplies for their Alternative Learning System program and other needs while they undergo rehabilitation.

The annual event bears the theme, "Creation Behind Bar: An Inmate's Livelihood Product Exhibit."
