CEBU CITY, Philippines - Programs, projects and vital activities of the National Government especially with the Office of President Rodrigo Rody Duterte will be accessible with just a few clicks away soon.

This as as Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) will launch a mobile and web application which can be accessed by everyone using their mobile phones and gadgets connected to the internet thru wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi), broadband or using mobile data.

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) assistant secretary Atty. Ana Maria Paz Rafael-Banaag (former mayor of Natonin, Mountain Province) together with her staff bared the plans to launch the "Duterte App" as well as launch "Barangay Journalism" in collaboration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to strengthen information dissemination and communication arm down to the grassroots level.

"Gusto namin sa PCOO na makihalubilo, makibahagi at ma-engage lahat lalo na ang mga Kabataan. As public servants we want to be mindful on the ways how we can share the right information to everyone, yon po ang gusto ni President Duterte para sa lahat," Asec Rafael-Banaag underscored.

The lady PCOO Asec was in Cebu City today November 21, 2017 Tuesday for a Special Meeting and Interaction of Information Officers from Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs) from Cebu Association of City and Municipal Public Information Officer (CAOCAMPIO) and Association of Government Information Officers (AGIO-7) held inside the Social Hall of Cebu Provincial Capitol.

The event also served as official launching and first meeting of the Provincial Communications Officers Network (PCONet) in Cebu which the PCOO is building all over the Philippines. Cebu was the 10th area they visited in the country so far.

Moreover, during the activity, personnel from the Department of Energy (DOE) Visayas Field Office conducted a briefing on Energy Saving Tips for Households prior to the special meeting with the PCOO Asec. (By: Greggy P. SenadosCity of Cebu, Public Information Office)
