The Cebu City Government donated a 1.5 hectare lot which will be constructed with new buildings to house the Court of Appeals, Regional Trial Courts, Municipal Trial Courts and a training facility for the judges at the South Road Property (SRP).
During the signing of the Deed of Donation held recently, Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin thanked the Cebu City Government headed by Mayor Tommy Osmeña, for the continuing support to the Supreme Court.
The first ever Judicial Complex will be constructed immediately as soon as processing for the transfer of the lot title to the Supreme Court will be completed.
SC Administrator Jose Midas Marquez said that they have already allocated 1 Billion pesos; however, since the property is bigger now, more funds have to be augmented in order to fully complete the said project.

Talisay City Division represented by Talisay City Central Elementary School emerged as the Grand Champion Winner and bested 4 other contingents to the Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Lalawigan 2019 held yesterday at the Cebu City Sports Complex.
The presentation centered on the message of praying for eternal rest. This revolved on the concept to continue praying for our departed loved ones in order for them to be forgiven and enjoy heaven.
Sinulog Chair Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña assisted by City Councilor Hon. Mary Ann delos Santos personally handed over the awards to the winners.
This year's Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Lalawigan title is the 3rd win for Talisay City for 3 straight consecutive years.
Carcar City Division finished second, followed by Tribu Malipayon of Consolacion (3rd), Sining Sto. Niño Folkloric Troupe of the City of Bogo (4th), and Tribu Ginatilan (5th).
Talisay City bagged 3 different awards with cash prizes including the Ritual Showdown with a cash prize of P350,000, P50,000 for Best in Musicality, and another P50,000 for Best in Street Dancing.
For other awards, the Carcar City Division is the 2nd placer for the Best in Musicality (P30,000); Tribu Malipayon – Consolacion is 3rd (P20,000); Sining Sto. Niño Folkloric Troupe of the City of Bogo is 4th (P15,000); and Tribu Ginatilan is 5th (P10,000).
Carcar City Division, won Best in Costume with a cash prize of P50,000.
