Cebu City Government is once again awarded by the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP) for its best practices in eGovernance.
Formerly NICP eGov Awards, The Digital Cities PH Awards is the first and most prestigious recognition to be given by the ICT sector to LGUs with exemplary performance in empowering its public customers and businesses. Cebu City Management Information and Computer Services (MICS) was able to send 4 entries under different categories for the DGP eGov Awards and was able to champion 2 out of the 6 categories: Best in eGov for Data-Driven Governance (D2G) and Global competitiveness (G2W).
For the for Data-Driven Governance category, MICS presented GeoHazard Mapping Information System wherein For Global competitiveness, the city government’s entry is the Cebu Business Application and Online Analytics (CEBALA).
MICS Head Engr. William Cris Artajo said that NICP got impressed with how the city government used technology as a decision tool in processing information to create plans and program that can help in the development of the city.
