The Cebu City Environmental and Natural Resources Office (CCENRO) headed by Nida Cabrera announced 5 specific stations and assembly areas for the Bulacao River Clean-up Drive on February 23, 2019 during the orientation of volunteers.
On the day of the clean-up, the volunteers are asked to be at the assembly area of their chosen station at 6:00am and before 6:30am for the orientation of do's and don'ts.
Lower Torre has been identified as Station 1 with Corner White Road as assembly area with focal person in charge Renante Sabejon & Lydia Montano and / or any available Barangay Environmental Officers (BEO's) in the area. Transfer station is near Jomara.
Station 2 is Upper Torre with Inayawan Bridge as assembly area with focal person in charge John Cabrera and / or any Barangay Environmental Officers (BEO's) assigned in the area.
St. Paul College is the assembly area for station 3 which is the Bulacao Bridge. For assistance and questions in this particular station, the volunteers may look for focal person in-charge Dennis Tima-an and / or any BEO's available in the area.
Station 4 of the clean-up is Cabancalan Foot Bridge going to station 3, where volunteers will meet at the Bridge as the assembly area with focal person in charge Joey Baclayon or any BEO's available in the area.
Candulawan Foot Bridge is station 5 and Candulawan Gym is the assembly area. The focal person of this station is Marwin Bagano and / or any Barangay Environmental Officers (BEO's) assigned in the area.
This clean-up drive is a joint effort of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Cebu City Environment and Natural Resources Office(CCENRO), Local Government Units (LGUs) of Cebu City and Talisay, and other private institutions. (Margie P. Bulado & Tito Basilisco/PIO)
