Cebu City Office of the Building Official (OBO), officer-in-charge Engineer Joy Ylanan encouraged homeowners to coordinate with each other in building their houses by sharing a common wall to save space and money during the ceremonial groundbreaking of the 5.6 million road embankment project at Barangay Duljo Fatima today.
Ylanan said that OBO will be working with the Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW) led by Cebu City Assistant Engr. Nilo Igot to come up with a proposal for a standard design that residents can use in building their new structures and help them utilize the lot that is assigned to them.
She also asked the residents to cooperate with the city government and not to encroach the roads to give way for vehicles especially in times of emergency to make it easier to respond immediately. (Jessa L. Celocia & Levy Sayago/PIO)
