INTRODUCTION AND LIST OF DIVISIONS:

The office of the City Assessor is a revenue generating office. It is composed of four (4) divisions;

  1. Assessment Records Management
  2. Tax Mapping
  3. Land Division and, Building and Machinery Appraisal Divisions
  4. Administrative section.

The office is spearheaded by Mr. Eustaquio B. Cesa as the Acting City Assessor and Ms. Leizl C. Gonzaga as the Assistant City Assessor for Administration together with seventy (70) equally competent personnel.

MISSION:

“To appraise and assess real properties through accurate, fair and productive real property tax administration system.”

VISION:

“City Assessor’s Office is a model of appraisal and assessment administration on real properties as prescribed by law.”

LEGAL MANDATE:

The Office of the City Assesor shall take charge of the discovery, classification, appraisal, assessment and valuation of all real properties within the City of Cebu which shall be used as the basis for taxation.

Its duties include the preparation, installation and maintenance of a system of tax mapping and records management, and the preparation of a Schedule of Fair Market Values of the different classes of real property within the City of Cebu.
