CEBU CITY, Philippines - With its commitment to help the job seekers in this city and the employers in their manpower needs, the city government here through its Department of Manpower Development and Placement or DMDP will hold its 73rd Mega Job Fair on April 2, 2016, Saturday at the Cebu City Sports Center.

The quarterly program of the city is pursued in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 7.

Representatives from the Social Security System (SSS), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and the Office of the Cebu City Civil Registrar will also join to render their services to the job applicants during the activity.

The activity which will start at 8 o’clock in the morning and will last until 5 o’clock in the afternoon will be participated by various local companies and agencies that will offer thousands of job vacancies available.

Job applicants are advised to prepare with their updated resume, wear appropriate attire and bring along with their employment certifications (For Previously Employed), High School Diploma (For High School Graduate), and Transcript of Records (For College Graduate).

The press conference for Buhing Kalbaryo 2016 was held today at the Rizal Public Library. Before the press conference an excerpt of the play was presented to the audience. 

Buhing Kalbaryo is now on its 19th year. One of the objectives of Buhing Kalbaryo is to focus on out of school youths so that they will learn discipline, self confidence and communication skills which they can use in their daily lives. When it first started most of the participants of the play were these out of school youths. Other objectives of the play are to promote stage drama which is an art that is no longer popular nowadays and evangelization.
 
Shows of Buhing Kalbaryo will be held on March 18 and 19, 7:00 PM at the Fort San Pedro and on March 25, 2016 Good Friday which starts at the San Nicholas Church going to the Guadalupe Church Grounds.

Atol sa "City Hall at Your Doorstep" nga gipahigayon karong adlawa Marso 15, 2016 Martes didto sa Barangay Duljo Fatima Sports Complex, gipasabot ni Alex Sillos kawani sa Cebu City Sports Commission nga magsugod ang programa sa Sports karong Abril 18 hangtod Mayo 6.

Dugang gipasabot niini nga ang programa alang sa mga kabataan nga nag-edad ug 6 hangtod 16 anyos.

Adunay 17 ka mga nakalain-laing sports nga pweding salmotan sa mga liboan ka mga kabataan. Naglangkob niini ang Basketball, Arnis, Archery,Boxing, Badminton, Chess, Dancesports, karatedo, Futsal, Sepak Takraw, Softball, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, Weightlifting, ug Scrabble.

Samtang, libre lamang ang pagsalmot sa programa ug ipahigayon kini sa nagkadaiyang gymnasiums ug tunghanan sa mga kabarangayan nga naglangkob ning syudad.

Gibana-banang mokabat sa 5 Mil ka mga kabataan ang mosalmot sa tinuig nga kalihokan. Ipahigayon usab ang kulminasyon sa programa karong Mayo 7 ning tuiga ngadto sa Cebu City Sports Institute.

CEBU CITY, Philippines - “I am very thankful to Mayor Michael Rama for having this program as it is of great help to the people specially the less fortunate,” shared Leah Humamoy, 34, who brought her 2 daughters and availed of the medical consultation.

Leah was among the thousands of residents of Barangay Pasil who flocked to their Sports Complex for the "City Hall at your Doorstep" held this Thursday morning March 10 to avail the various services from the 22 department of the city government here.

The beneficiaries availed the various basic services from the 22 departments of the city government which served as a one-stop shop with avail-all-services-you-can system on a first-come, first served basis.

In his welcome message, Pasil village chief Julius Guioguio also thanked Mayor Rama for pouring programs and projects in their barangay. He also thanked everyone who supported the activity.

Barangay Pasil recently received P10 Million financial assistance from the city government here intended for various programs and projects for Pasilnons.

The barangay has 9,522 residents living in at least 9 Sitios. It is situated in the city’s South District and about 3 kilometers or 10 to 15 minutes (taking a public utility jeepney) away from the Cebu City Hall.

Furthermore, the “City Hall at Your Doorstep” is an initiative of Mayor Rama launched in the year 2010 and already institutionalized. It is conducted in line with the commitment of the Rama administration to bring the city government services closer to the people sans going to the different offices in Cebu City Hall.
